Our pal Victor Scott stealthily put out his album Good Times in November. Either that, or we just weren't paying close enough attention (sorry, Victor, we've been a bit busy). It's a great album and one song ("High Fructose Corn Syrup") was inspired by our first meeting with the man. It's all Melissa's fault if you get that song stuck in your head. And, if you haven't yet, you can check out his video "Gotta Go" and see us dancing with our cat Mushi Mushi Gila Monster among other things.
So, go pony up the $6 Canadian (which, unfortunately for the Americans in the crowd, is worth more than it used to be).
Love and happiness,
H and M
Months ago our pal Victor Scott wrote asking for people to film themselves while dancing to his wonderful song "Gotta Go" for a video that was going to be made by Michaelle Stikich. So before we left Kansas, we filmed ourselves dancing around and, like everything else we do, our cat Mushi Mushi Gila Monster decided he wanted to be a part of it as well. So, it turns out that Mush breakdancing (with help from Hiram) is in the final video (Quicktime version and the YouTube version) along with Mike and Rob Smith of Nothing but Green Lights and the Take Your Medicine Podcast, Tim Young of Contrast Podcast and the band Cut, along with several others (including the wonderful dancing of anonymous girl #1). So we watch the video and love it, but then Michaelle writes that it's been picked up for the SXSW and NoisePop festivals. Wow!
Congratulations to Victor and Michaelle. We fear that this means Mush will be even more annoying than he already is, demanding that his picture be on all of our albums, royalties, more fresh tuna, etc. Our other cat, The Big Delicious, already wishes he had more dignity.
